On July 11, 2018, the United Nations Office celebrated World Population Day. The event was organized by the Youth Volunteer Network Y-PEER, the United Nations Department of Public Information in Kazakhstan and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). 2018 theme: “Family Planning is a Human Right”
About 225 million women who are trying to prevent pregnancy do not use contraceptives. This is due to lack of access to information and related services, as well as lack of support in the family and in the community.
The ability to access services and information in the field of family planning is a human right. Investments in family planning also contribute to economic growth and development.
