The specialized lyceum 165 in Almaty, in cooperation with the UN Information Office in Kazakhstan, celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Students conducted a mini-UN model depicting a high-level discussion on the protection of human rights in various countries and continents. The program included a presentation on the adoption of the Universal Declaration, a review of the activities of countries and international organizations, measures to protect children’s rights, the reflection of human rights in the Sustainable Development Goals, and discussion of the topic with students and teachers. Presentations, discussions and dialogues were held in English. Lyceum 165 already conducted a UN mini-model on other topics; In 2019, students and teachers will hold several more meetings simulating the work of various UN structures.
